Our orientation zoom session will be held Saturday, February 27th @ 10 am and we will meet virtually Saturday mornings for 1-2 hours once a week for 6 weeks. Our last session together will be our comfort measures and labor rehearsal on April 3rd @ 10 am.

Pregnancy and childbirth have been passions of mine for as long as I can remember. Over the past 7 years as a Labor and Delivery Nurse and throughout my graduate education to become a Certified Nurse Midwife and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, I have been devastated to witness firsthand at how poorly we have historically prepared and educated parents-to-be for this transformative life event. Without adequate education and empowerment, families are left feeling taken advantage of, leading to the terrible statistic that 1 in 3 birthing people experience some form of trauma from their birth. Instead of this time being the transformative rite of passage it can and should be, they are left feeling disempowered, now with emotional wounds to heal on top of their physical recovery post-birth. Amidst a global pandemic and during this uncertain time, it is now more important than ever to feel prepared and empowered going into your labor and birth. For all of these reasons and many, many more… I am honored and excited to be able to provide this virtual Evidence-Based Birth® Childbirth Class as your mentor and guide!
